They are washed and dried before usage. Most elderberries should be packed in freezer containers if they are going to be used for cooking. Nonetheless, elderberries are a blessing to both the medicinal and culinary world.
How To Make Elderberry Tea?
Elderberries are great for boosting immunity. They improve health and make you less prone to life-threatening diseases.
- 16 ounces of filtered water
- 2 tablespoons of dried elderberries
- Half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder
- Half a teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- Add water and elderberries in a saucepan.
- Add some turmeric and cinnamon to it.
- Let it boil for a minute or so. Reduce the heat gently. Let it simmer for 15 minutes.
- Remove the heat and allow it to cool for 5 minutes.
- Use a mesh strainer, strain and pour into separate mugs.
- Add a tablespoon of honey.
- If you want the drink to cool down, pour it into a jar and let it cool down.
